Craig amassed over 400 games in a professional career spanning more than 20 years, scoring nearly 150 goals from the midfield position and managers such as Brian Robson and Graeme Souness spent in excess of £5million pounds in combined transfer fees throughout his career.

Craig had a fantastically successful career playing in the English Premier League for clubs such as Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Barnsley as well as signing for Scottish Premier League outfit Aberdeen.
He is famous in the North East not just for his 150 games in a Middlesbrough shirt, but a place in history was secured with Craig scoring the Boro’s first ever goal at their new Riverside Stadium with a goal against Premier League giants Chelsea.
Since retirement, he has forged a fantastic career away from the pitch. He recently starred in Sky1’s Premier League All Stars, in which he helped Middlesbrough beat Newcastle, and represented England in the 2009 Home Nations Masters Cup. As of April 2008 he was made part of the coaching staff at Middlesbrough and is a regular on popular Sky Sports Show, Soccer Am.
Higgy is also an accomplished after dinner speaker and is regularly heard on national and local radio where he provides expert commentary and analysis.
