Since 2007, Paul has concentrated his career on the now regional physiotherapy practice, Paul Gough Physio Rooms and is applying his unique brand of modern physiotherapy to patients across the North East. Paul utilises a range of treatment approaches including spinal manipulation and mobilisation as well as designing exercise plans for patients to ensure a full recovery.

Paul’s physiotherapy education began at Northumbria University were he qualified with a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2003. Since then membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Health Professions Council (HPC) and State Registration (SRP) have followed. Now a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPHOE), Paul is regularly consulted by public and private sector companies to offer advice on reducing injury absence and improving work station settings.

Further education has come from the University of Sunderland in the form of a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) which allows Paul to share his knowledge and experience with local colleges and universities in the region.

Paul lectures extensively in the UK on subjects related to his specialist fields of spinal and sports injuries, often to research level students. He is also used by the Football Association of England to deliver emergency first training to schools and colleges in the Durham and Teesside area.
