Two Physios, A Camper Van, And A Trip To Suffolk

No wedding stories this week…

Anyway, instead of wedding bells for one of my staff, I think it’s more likely to be “fireworks”… as “she” took the week off to do something nice (…but he wouldn’t, apparently!)

“Ouch”!

For his sake, I hope it’s going to be sunny next week…

Coz if not, “nameless 1” could be in a serious mood by the time he gets in for tea each each night having festered all day knowing that they could have been ‘sunning it’ somewhere, if he’d of taken the time off ;-(

So, what’s new that’s been happening this week:

Well, two members of my Physio staff (Kevan and Enrik) took a couple of days off to attend a new advanced Acupuncture training course down in Suffolk.

But get this:

Rather than cough up and pay for a hotel, Kevan thought it would be a good idea to borrow his mates camper van and for both him and Enrik to stay in that thing for the 4 nights that they’re down there.

But it isn’t one of them that’s luxury.

No.

It’s one of them green and cream “retro” style ones where, granted, there’s a bit of space to sleep in it, but I didn’t see any place for a shower and there was certainly no sign of a TV or any other home comforts like that.

Maybe they’ll just stop up all night talking about their new acupuncture “tricks” in the van, rather than go to sleep?

Or, maybe they’ll find a pub close by and spend my expenses money in their instead?

The funny thing is …

They think I didn’t know that they were going down in the camper van…

So. I’ll be watching this space for when the “hotel” receipts come into the accounts dept on Monday morning 😉

Anything else:

“Oh yeah”!

I almost finished my book!

Remember I mentioned earlier on in the year that my goal for 2014, amongst others, was to have my first book published?

Well, it’s written!

66’000 words on how to be healthier and more active in your 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s.

I got a few words to drop to keep the publisher happy, and I’ve got three chapters to “fine tune” and then it’s off to the proof readers and then to the publishers for printing and sending to Jeff Bezos at Amazon.

In fact, next week, I got to go meet the publisher over in the USA and talk about it some more.

So, maybe in the next couple of weeks I’ll sneak you a look a the first couple of chapters and if you wanted to get one of the first copies when it’s ready to go in the shops, I’ll work out a way to send you a “freebie” copy for you to enjoy.

Anyhow that’s it from me today –

I’m planning on enjoying some cricket and maybe heading over to the beach to grab an ice cream with Harry-bo and maybe even play on the swings (if he doesn’t nod off in the pram first).

Have a great day!

Paul :=)
